Multi-layer aerial/satellite/terrestrial framework for resilient communication, distributed computation, and intelligent caching in critical scenarios.

RAIN4C aims to design and validate a multi-layer networking framework for robust digital services in critical environments, integrating satellite links, drone swarms, and terrestrial users.

The project investigates resilient connectivity, distributed computation, and intelligent caching, including UAV-enabled architectures, interoperability through programmable data planes, and software-defined digital-twin support for simulation and management.
