Mobile crowdsensing simulation This work deals with the implementation of additional features in a simulator of Mobile Crowdsensing. The simulators that we are going to consider are CrowdSenSim 2.0 (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0140366420309361), written in C++, and TACSIM (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/abstract/document/10207598), written in Java. This will deal with mobility patterns, optimization algorithms and software integration. 4

Location based data queries for the iot The thesis compares different data querying mechanisms (publish subscribe Vs request response) to retrieve location-based data from iot sources. 2

Edge learning for the iot with model updating The thesis aims at investigating edge ai techniques for resource constrained iot devices. Specifically it investigates the possibility of ML model updating from a wireless connection. 3
